Hello, Friends and Family!

On Saturday, April 27th, I'll be participating in southern Connecticut's largest Earth Day celebration in support of Massaro Community Farm. This year there's a matching fund of 20% for every amount raised up to $11,000! This matching fund is being used up fast, but there's still time to stretch your donation and support my ride with an even greater gift! Would you please consider making a tax deductible donation today?

Along with over 1,000 others, I'll be riding from West Rock to East Rock to raise support for more than 30 community organizations. This will be my 6th year riding the 20 mile loop in support of Massaro Community Farm. Some years it's easier than others, thanks to our ever changeable New England weather, but it's always a rewarding morning of fresh air, exercise and friendship - and all for a good cause! I would be grateful to have you support my ride with a monetary donation or to have you join me on the road! Please let me know if you're interested in joining our team, the Massaro Melonheads, I'd love to ride with you! I promise you won't have to wear a melonhead helmet unless you really want to šŸ˜Š

Thank you so much for making a generous donation. It's 100% tax deductible and will support Massaro Community Farm, an amazing local vegetable farm that's enhancing our community in so many ways. Look what we've accomplished at Massaro Community Farm!

In the last ten years we've resurrected a derelict farm from broken-down buildings and depleted soils to productive fields and abundant organic produce  - our farm has been nationally acclaimed!

IN 2008:

In 2018:

Our Mission is to:

Our farming operation serves a 200-member CSA and has a weekly presence at area farmerā€™s markets. The farm consists of over 42 acres of woods and wetlands and 15 acres of fields, 10 of which are currently cultivated to produce fruit, vegetables, flowers, and honey.

Each year, Massaro Community Farm donates at least 10% of our diverse vegetable crops to local hunger relief agencies. We donated more than 5,000 pounds of produce in 2018, and more than 60,000 pounds of healthy, organic food since 2010.

The farm is open space to be explored and enjoyed by all. Our nature trail meanders for two miles through the woods and wetlands behind our growing fields. At Celebrate Spring, we sell flowers and organic vegetable seedlings coupled with gardening instruction. Dinner on the Farm engages the senses through a farm-to-table meal served right in our fields. We also provide a number of educational programs throughout the year, including Summer Camp on the Farm, film screenings, beekeeping, and other sustainability workshops.

Thanks very much for making a donation today!
