Carbon Sequesters In Action with URI

Rock to Rock 2020 - Celebrating the 50th Earth Day

Join URI's Carbon Sequester team!

Show your support for New Haven's trees by riding with Urban Resources Initiative (URI)!  If you live in New Haven, please request a tree and we will come plant it for you this spring!

All team donations raised will support URI's mission to foster community-based land stewardship, promote environmental education, and advance the practice of urban forestry.

When you register, you'll be able to choose our team, set up a fundraising page, and help us reach our team goal.

Questions or need help setting up your page- Call Chris O. at (203) 627-0178.

"Carbon sequestration is the long-term removal, capture or sequestration of CO2 from the atmosphere to slow or reverse atmospheric CO2 pollution and to mitigate climate change.... Urban forestry increases the amount of carbon taken up in cities by adding new tree sites and the sequestration of carbon occurs over the lifetime of the tree." -wikipedia
