Calling all riders!
Please join our team and ride with "The Nature Conservancy Rocks!" For every dollar raised, you'll be making a tangible difference for real people, real places and important plants and animals in Connecticut.
Your ride can make so much possible:
- Preserve special lands
- Restore streams to have cleaner water and better fish habitat
- Perform research into vulnerable species restoration
- And more!
Trustee Todd Miranowski is again matching, dollar-for-dollar, all funds raised by our team up to a total of $10,000! That means all donations will automatically DOUBLE!
In addition to fielding a team of riders, The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut will again be hosting “Chef to Chef: Picnic Battle for the Earth” at the ride’s terminus.
Last year’s winner, Chef Bun Lai of Miya’s Sushi in New Haven, is back to defend his title against Chef Avi Szapiro of ROIA. Both chefs will demonstrate how easy – and delicious! – it is to prepare a dish that pleases your palate and the planet.
ABOUT THE NATURE CONSERVANCY
The Nature Conservancy is the world’s largest conservation organization, working in all 50 states and 36 countries to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
In Connecticut, we protect ecologically vital lands and care for our 60+ preserves; connect habitats and ensure ample, clean water flow in the Connecticut River; improve water quality and protect coastal habitats in Long Island Sound; and share our expertise with growing programs in Brazil, China, Africa and more.
We're excited to be back at Rock to Rock for a second year and hope to see you at East Rock Park as we Picnic for Earth!
